Check the treads on your tires.

Check your tire treads by sticking a quarter between the treads of your tires in several places. If part of Washington's head is always covered, you have enough tread. Keep in mind that bald tires create less traction between your car and the road and, in wet conditions, could cause your car to slide off the road, into another car or worse. It takes less than 1/4 water to cause a car to slide if you don't have proper treads.
